November 18th, 2010

People... it is officially ONE month until the wedding.  I can't believe it.  Drew & I are focusing on all the things we need to finish before the big day & the things we need to put in place for AFTER the big day (new home, new town, new life, & bringing our dogs with us...).

Today is my moving day!  I'm headed back to College Station for this last month & I can't wait.  I'm meeting miss Sarah P. at her lifegroup this evening to enjoy a viewing of It's A Wonderful Life.  I think that is the perfect way to start life living back in C-Stat.

Not much else to say besides I've started eating 1200 calories a day and I run nearly everyday.  Just trying to get in better shape for the wedding.  Can't wait!

After an amazing wedding shower Sunday afternoon, I am only slightly ready to begin another week.  Although I only have one class right now, I have to focus on it so much that I sometimes feel like I'm taking a full load.  It's math (of course) and it's always on my mind...  I also work 3 to 4 nights a week which is actually no big deal seeing as I go in at 5 and I'm usually out by 9.  Perfect hours, if only I made a little bit more cash.

This week's update is that I am moving back to College Station for the remainder of our wedding prep. time.  Drew came to me with a good point last week and it was that he feels my parents would probably like a little more quality time with me before they give away their last daughter, and especially before I move off to Mississippi with my new husband.  I like the idea, don't like knowing that I won't see Drew much and also don't like the idea having to drive back here twice a week for math class.  But, I think it is the best thing I could do at this point in time and I feel I owe it to my parents and my Grandma Rhodie as the three of them rarely get to see me.

I must admit that the thought of waking up every morning in ole' C-Stat and being able to call up lifelong friends anytime I want sounds aaaaaamazing.  I get texts from my friends in College Station about once a week "just letting me know" that they want to see me and wonder when I'm coming back to visit, etc. etc. etc.  Definitely makes me feel loved and missed. :D

Search & Find

Just found a new website that I'm loving - dailycandy.com

I found this bag on the website and I so wish I had the means to order it right now.

Drew and I visited Oxford, MS this past weekend in search of a new home.  We saw several cute places but only ONE that we fell in love with.

19 Gumtree Oxford, MS!

Of course I love America but the flag will definitely go.  I'm sure it will reappear during patriotic holidays but I have a few different ideas for the front of our new home... if we get it. We're putting an offer in later this week.

Huge Backyard!

This backyard is gigantic and we knew it would be perfect for our adorable dogs.  Both sides of the yard are fenced but not the back... strange.  Not a problem, we'll simply fence it before we move in.  We also need to dig trenches around the inside of the fence and pour concrete (the dogs are major diggers).  We'll then cover the trench with grass and plant some flower bushes in front of them, which will be so much fun!

Kitchen

The cabinets are an ivory or buttercream and I love them.  The kitchen has plenty of space for my appliances and plenty of room for our plates and glasses, pots and pans etc.

Master Bedroom

The color of this room is so refreshing and the lighting is perfect. I love the huge windows.  I also like the desk the previous owners had in here so I might look for one just like it. :D

Crawl Space!

We LOVED this.  It's a small room just above the garage and just big enough to house a small home office or, just as the previous owners used it, a family music room.  We will probably use it for a yoga room/kids room when the nieces and nephews come to visit. They would LOVE this space, just big enough for them - kind of like a playhouse.

We're going to put a bid in on the house later this week and we'll go from there.
