There are times one realizes what one truly wants to be. I'm not talking about a pipe dream or some stellar career. I'm talking about the type of human being one wants to be. I so badly want to be a kind-hearted, gentle, loving and compassionate human being. I want to be the one other people talk about and say "SHE is a good person." Everybody deserves to be loved and heard. Everybody has a story and a place they've come from. If we're all innately bad it's amazing how much good there is in all of us.

For My Dad
You tried to live a simple life.
You tried to mind your business.
You made some hard decisions.
You made our lives good.
You always told us to dream.
Said we could do anything.
Now we're grown we see
Why you did some things you did
You worked 3 jobs at once.
You worked til your bones hurt.
Mom let us stay up til you got home.
I hope that made your day.
You live your simple life.
In your house with your first wife.
10 kids call you grandpa.
They adore you.
You'll always teach them to dream.
Tell them they can do anything.
And when they're grown they'll see
A man who left a legacy.

Holiday Haven
So looking forward to the Holidays! College Station for 5 full days! I can't wait to just sit in my old bed up in my old room & just be silent and still & know I have nothing to do for 5 whole days. Wow. Bliss.

Create
This word has been on my mind for weeks. It's all I think about. It flows from my lips. I think it means something. Back to the drawing board of life.

The World Around You
Whether you have a faith you follow or not, it is still true that people are forced to walk through "storms" that affect them mentally, physically, spiritually... Shouldn't we be compassionate & unassuming when we have no idea what someone has experienced?
I'm going to practice compassion today.
